I am writing to let you know that, after practicing law in two excellent firms, I have established my own law firm: Levin-Epstein, P.C. Additionally, I have developed an “Of Counsel” association with the Shiboleth law firm that will enable me to handle cases through their satellite firms in Shanghai, Tel Aviv, and London.

This exciting new platform will enable me to provide practical, cost-effective, first-class legal services in litigation, alternative dispute resolution, representation of foreign entities in U.S. law courts, judgment enforcement, and many other legal services for you and others who might require the skill set I have developed over the past decade.

Levin-Epstein, P.C. will provide clients with much greater return on their investment in legal services. I will be able to offer alternative fee arrangements, including project billing and retainers, and I will be free to agree to other formulas that are mutually attractive. I will be open to discussing projects involving risk-sharing and success fees. There will be flexibility in finding solutions to meet clients’ needs with maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness at the highest possible level of quality and commitment. Of course, along with the freedom that comes from not having partners comes the sole person responsibility for developing an active client base to keep the doors of my new practice open. I hope you will become a client of the new firm or will refer clients to us. You know me, you know my experience, and you know the quality of my work. I would be most grateful to be retained in these areas, among others:

  • litigation before trial or appellate courts or administrative bodies, especially (but surely not limited to!) matters involving real estate, partnership disputes, and creditors’ rights;
  • litigation avoidance, by which I mean the negotiation of agreements to resolve disputes before they cross the threshold of the courthouse;
  • domestic or international arbitration and mediations;
  • bankruptcy litigation and creditors’ rights work, including avoidance actions, preference actions, discharge and dischargeability actions;
  • employment litigation in all aspects of employment law, including issues involving restrictive covenants and trade secrets, wage-and-hour issues, Fair Labor Standards Act issues, and breach of contract issues;
  • business divorce litigation, including contested stock valuations, derivative actions and other disputes between owners of closely held business corporations;
  • counseling and strategic planning that defy easy categorization, but that require a profound understanding not only of the pertinent legal issues, but of the business (and sometimes personal!) considerations that must be taken into account to reach a favorable outcome; and
  • representing investors, restauranteurs, restaurant management companies, and chefs in New York City’s hospitality sector.
